Christmas Decorating

From The Worship Committee Chair: Deb Kenes

My heart felt really full today as the Shepherdstown family of God congregated to get the church ready for Advent. In the past, the Worship team has completed that task. The idea to involve more of the church grew out of a need for more help and limber legs. 40+ folks gave up several hours of their day to celebrate the coming birth of the baby by being His hands. I am so grateful to each and every one of you. Nothing is better than feeling the joy of others who love Jesus and reach out to do His work. Despite issues with the coffee machine <sigh>, we still seemed to have the energy needed. The decorating was completed in record time. A short message came next from Pastor Dennis and then we gathered in Fellowship Hall for what was to be a light lunch. Wow, did we have a lot of food! Thank you for your contributions of bread and dessert. So…now the church is ready for the baby. Looking forward to the anticipation of all that this season always brings. Thank you, dear friends, for your servant hearts!
